Banana Bread: 8T. (1 stick) butter at room temp. 3/4 C. Sugar. 2 Eggs. 1 C.Flour (all purpose). 1 t.Salt. 1 C.Whole Wheat Flour. 3 Large ripe bananas, mashed. 1 t.Vanilla. 1/2 C.Shelled Walnuts (minus the walnuts). Preheat oven at 350, grease 9X5X3″ bread pan. Cream butter & sugar till light & fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Sift all purpose flour, baking soda & salt together, stir in whole wheatflour and add to creamed mixture, mixing well. Fold in bananas, vanilla & walnuts (minus the walnuts). Pour mixture into pan, bake 50 to 60 min. or till cake tester comes out clean – cool in pan 10min., then on rack. Makes One Loaf
