To my friend Peter Grammatico Dear Pete, I need you to forgive me. I wish I could have got to hang out with you, Becky and Justin together…I know he’s the pride of your life. Our love for you and Becky is extended in complete sincerity to that awesome boy of yours. Forgive me for not staying in touch as much as I should have. You are great at that, always able to stay in touch. Man – I often think back to the days of Running On Empty and how much fun we had traveling around playing music. We owe that to you Pete…all those memories. You have so much passion. There have been so many times when Diana and I smile thinking back to our time in New York with you, Becky and the rest of the gang. Opening for Foreigner, Greenwich Village, the recording, the performing, the hanging out…all of those great memories are because of you. But more than anything I think back to how common it was for us to crack up and laugh at the most ridiculous things. You were and are a great friend, not just to Diana and I but to everyone you come in contact with. I’m going to miss you Pete. We all are going to miss you as we wait to see you again. In the meantime I want to say thanks. Thanks for that letter you wrote to me a little while ago, it went straight to my heart and hasn’t left since. Thanks for setting the example to Caleb, Shawn, Chris & I on how to get things done all the while loving life. Thanks for your giving nature. Thanks for introducing us to Becky, the coolest lady whom you love with all your heart. Thanks for never giving up, and never giving in. And most of all, thanks for always being you…my friend, the one and only Peter Grammatico.
PS: start working on some songs for us in that next dimension…and we’ll put a tail on em when we get there.
